Macau, Friday May 25, 2018 – An invasion is taking over Studio City, Macau – and it’s out of this world. Featuring a towering Studio City Rocket launch pad, a colony of fantastical extra-terrestrial creatures, a bustling Space Bar, and a myriad of stellar interactive experiences, “Alien Invasion” at Studio City is set to be the hottest hangout in the universe this summer, letting visitors live out their sci-fi fantasies – just like in the movies.
Taking place from May 23 until September 9, 2018, “Alien Invasion” features installations and exhibits inspired by outer space and Hollywood science-fiction adventures. From alien spacecraft and space races to enjoying a drink with friendly species from other planets, there is a sci-fi experience for everyone at Studio City.
The blast off occurs at Studio City’s Macau Times Square, where the Studio City Rocket is primed and ready for launch. This stunning large-scale installation recreates the experience of being at a real rocket launch pad, complete with buzzing control desks and roaring engines ready for their next space adventure.
“Alien Invasion” also offers plenty of other cosmic experiences including the exhilarating Space Racers as you navigate the outer space, and light-hearted photo opportunities that allow everyone to transform into a majestic alien.
No interplanetary gathering is complete without a few drinks at the intriguing Space Bar, the convivial meeting point and hub of activity for eclectic creatures from all over the galaxy. Guests can enjoy some futuristic bar tunes and have a drink alongside the lively cosmic visitors.
Travel the property to have close encounters with an incredible assortment of aliens; each has a distinct appearance and personality for visitors to discover. There’s the intelligent and all-knowing E.T (Spark); the food-loving Chewy; the peace-maker (Finn); the imposing Bad Guy (Trine); as well as the magnificent space creatures.
Bringing Hollywood sci-fi fantasies to life, these fantastical beasts transport visiting guests to an imaginary world where humans are the alien species, and adventure lies around every corner!
One of the first guests to experience this exhilarating intergalactic wonderland was Hong Kong actress Cherrie Ying. “Stepping through the doors of Studio City into ‘Alien Invasion’ is like being the star of your own sci-fi movie,” said Ying.
