MELCO CROWN ENTERTAINMENT SUPPORTS GAMING EMPLOYEES HOME’S MICROFILM PROJECT CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MACAU’S CREATIVE AND ART INDUSTRY


MACAU – Tuesday, December 15, 2015:  Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (NASDAQ: MPEL) (“Melco Crown Entertainment”, “MCE” or the “Company”) is a developer, owner and operator of gaming and entertainment resort facilities in Asia. The Company has long been committed to supporting the creative and art industry of Macau. This September, Melco Crown Entertainment offered its full support to the Gaming Employees Home’s microfilm The Lost Winner II, an inspirational microfilm to further promote the gaming industry’s healthy development and instill positive values to gaming practitioners. Two premieres of the microfilm were held at Studio 8 of Studio City today with over 600 audiences. 

 

Officiating guests of the premiere included Dr. Alexis Tam, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of Macao SAR; Mr. Wu Changfan, Deputy Head of the Social Work Department of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macao SAR; Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macau Government Tourist Office; Ms. Teng Nga Kan, Substitute Director of Labor Affairs Bureau; Mr. Hon Wai, Substitute Director of Social Welfare Bureau; Mr. Lai Chan Keong, Member of the Board of Directors of the Macao Foundation; Ms. Serene Chan, Head of Research and Investigation Department of Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau; Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief Officer of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility of Melco Crown Entertainment; Mr. Pak Ki Man, President of Volunteer Macau; Mr. Sam Choi, Director of Public Relations of Free Dream Production; Mr. Chiang Chong Sek, President of the Executive Board of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions; and Mr. Leong Sun Iok, President of Gaming Employees Home.

Melco Crown Entertainment has offered its full support to the production of The Lost Winner II, providing input on story and message concept, and on-site shooting locations at the casino floor and Heart of House areas.  Melco Crown Entertainment also recruited 70 of its employees to volunteer as cast members in this meaningful microfilm.
