Macau, Thursday, May 12, 2016 – Rolemodel Entertainment Group (REG) and Studio City are bringing Korean pop group BTS to Macau this summer. 2016 BTS LIVE < 花樣年華 on stage : epilogue> in Macau will take the stage at Studio City – Asia’s Entertainment Capital with a world class show at Studio City Event Center (SCEC) on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
The BTS Asia tour 2016 BTS LIVE <花樣年華 on stage : epilogue> debuts this May in Seoul, at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena. More than 24,000 tickets to the 2 shows were sold out quickly, paralyzing the online ticketing outlet. Macau is the third leg of the tour as well as the only show in Hong Kong and Macau. The show in Macau will feature glamorous stage set up to complement BTS’s fierce performance jam-packed with exhilarating dance moves and the group’s pop hits.
The event will be held at the iconic Studio City Event Center, which was just opened last October. The venue has hosted many exciting shows by international super stars including pop diva Madonna, Asia’s king of dance Aaron Kwok and K-pop group SUPER JUNIOR. As this epilogue concert only limits to approximately 4,000 seats, fans can get up close and personal with BTS, thanks to the specially designed extendable stage and rock-n-roll area. A.R.M.Y members who bought the limited VIP tickets will be treated to a “High-Five” event on the day of the show where they will be high-fiving with each of the 7 members of BTS.
The Macau leg of the tour coincides with the third anniversary of the group’s debut. BTS will surely be sharing the memorable moments from the past three years with fans from the A.R.M.Y during the show.
The Korean Pop sensation BTS is formed by seven talented and versatile musicians: Rap Monster, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, who are personally involved in composing, lyrics and production. BTS have taken the world by storm and made brilliant achievements.
BTS made their debut on June 13, 2013 with the single 2 COOL 4 SKOOL, which reached number 1 in the Naver chart. The group went on to win New Artist of the Year in the renowned Melon Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, Seoul Music Awards, Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards and Vchart Awards.
Within one and a half year of the group’s debut, BTS has gone on a world tour of BTS LIVE TRILOGY: EPISODE II. THE RED BULLET in 2014 with 22 shows in major cities in Asia, the U.S. and South America including Brazil and Chile, attracting over one hundred thousand spectators.
In May 2015 BTS released its third mini-album “The most beautiful moment in life pt.1”. The title track I NEED U brought the group its first number-one win in music program. The group’s fourth mini-album “The most beautiful moment in life pt.2” was released in November 2015, also garnered five number-one wins in music program with the title track RUN. The mini-album was number one in Billboard World Albums Chart for four weeks and remained at Top 10 for 15 consecutive weeks, holding the record of staying at Number 1 and remaining at Top 10 for the longest period in the history of K-Pop.
May 2, 2016 saw the release of BTS Special Album “The most beautiful moment in life : Young Forever”. A pre-order of more than 300,000 copies of the album were received just days after its release. The group has also announced a new tour series, to the joy of die-hard fans in the A.R.M.Y.
REG, a subsidiary of the Korean entertainment group CJ E&M, is proud to present to the Korean music fans their KLIVE series with 2016 BTS LIVE <花樣年華 on stage : epilogue> in Macau as the second event. The KLIVE series targeted to bring to the K-pop fans an ultimate entertaining experience with intimate interactions with their K-pop idols and there will be a series of exciting upcoming events starting from Macau and extending to other Asian cities!
